Instapot Ham & Potato Chowder

This is a very filling chowder that is sure to make your family happy! NOTE: If you do not have an Instapot, see note at bottom of recipe for slow cooker directions.

Ingredients

  1. 6-8red potatoes, chunked
  2. 1large onion, chopped
  3. 4carrots, chunked
  4. 3ribs celery, chopped
  5. 1 cancorn, drained
  6. 16 oz.cubed ham
  7. 4 cupschicken broth
  8. 2 Tbsp.flour
  9. 2 cupsheavy whipping cream
  10. to tastePepper, garlic powder & parsley,
  11. Cheddar cheese & sour cream, optional toppings

Cooking Instructions

    Place potatoes, onion, carrots, celery, corn and ham in Instapot.

  2. 2

    Add seasonings and chicken broth and stir well.

  3. 3

    Cook on soup setting adjusting the time up to 20 minutes. Once finished, release steam and stir.

    Add flour and cream. Stir to combine; lock lid back on and let sit for 10 minutes. Release any steam that may have built back up and remove lid.

    Enjoy with your favorite toppings!

    NOTE: This recipe can also be made in a crockpot. Place all of Step 1 and Step 2 ingredients into crockpot and cook on low for 6 to 8 hrs. Add Step 4 ingredients afterwards and cook on high an additional 15 minutes. Enjoy!
