Ingredients

30 mins
10-12 pieces
  1. 2 tspwhite sesame seeds
  2. 1/4 cupchopped cashew nuts
  3. 1/4 cupchopped almonds
  4. 1/4 cupchopped pista
  5. 1/4 cupchopped walnuts
  6. 2 cupssoft dates deseeded
  7. 1 tbsphoney
  8. 1 tbspghee
  9. 2cardamom powdered

Cooking Instructions

    In a pan dry roast white sesame seeds and remove into a bowl and keep aside.

    In the same pan heat 1/2 tbsp ghee and roast all the dry fruits until golden and crispy. Remove the dry fruits into another bowl.

    Slightly crush dates in the mixer. Heat 1/2 tbsp ghee in the same pan and cook the dates for 8-10 mins until soft. Add cardamom powder and mix well.

    To the roasted dry fruits add honey, 1 tsp dates paste and 1/2 tsp roasted sesame seeds and mix well to bind the dry fruits.

    When the dates mix is still warm transfer it onto an aluminum foil greased with ghee. And with the help of greased rolling pin roll it into rectangle shape.

    In the centre places the dry fruits mix and bring the ends together to form a log. Cover it in the edges too. Spread roasted sesame seeds on the foil.

    Roll the dates log on sesame seeds and cover with the aluminum foil. Once cool down refrigerate for 20 mins.

    Remove the log from refrigerator and along with foil cut into small roundels. Remove the foil.

    Dates and Dry Fruit Roll is ready to be served..
