Ingredients

  1. 500 gramsany large/medjool dates pitted
  2. 2-3 tablespoonghee
  3. 25 gramspistachios chopped finely
  4. 25 gramsalmonds chopped finely
  5. 25 gramswalnuts chopped finely
  6. 10-20 gramspine/any other nuts of your choice
  7. 2 cupshot water
  8. 1/2 cupplain milk

Cooking Instructions

    Add the pitted dates in a bowl full of hot water for 1-2 hours to soften them

  2. 2

    Post soaking, discard the water and blend the dates into a clear purée

  3. 3

    Melt the ghee in a wok

  4. 4

    Add the dates purée and sauté on Low heat by stirring constantly

  5. 5

    After about 7-8 minutes, add the milk and mix well

  6. 6

    Now keep mixing the dates mixture till it thickens and looks glossy(add more ghee if needed)

  7. 7

    Once done, add the mixture into a greased plate/ tin.

  8. 8

    Sprinkle the chopped nuts and seeds and let the halwa rest and set for atleast 1 hour(if wanting to cut into smaller portions)

    Or serve right away and enjoy!!
