Cheesy Buttermilk and Herb Biscuits

Ingredients

  1. 1 cupbuttermilk
  2. 2 cupsgrated medium cheddar cheese
  3. 6 sprigsfresh thyme (leaves removed)
  4. 1 sprigfresh rosemary (leaves removed)
  5. 4 sprigsfresh dill (leaves removed)
  6. 1 teaspoonsugar
  7. 3 tablespoonsmelted butter
  8. 2 teaspoonsbaking powder
  9. 2 1/4 cupsall purpose flour
  10. 1 teaspoonsalt
  11. 1 tspblack pepper
  12. 1 tsporegano

Cooking Instructions

    Preheat oven to 350°F

    Line a baking sheet with parchment paper

  3. 3

    In a mixing bowl combine flour, salt, sugar, baking powder, oregano and black pepper. Whisk until blended.

    Add buttermilk, cheese, thyme, rosemary and dill and stir together until dough forms.

    Drop dough onto baking sheet in desired size. Take a glass and flour the bottom. Lightly press glass on dough balls and flatten to your liking.

    Brush with melted butter and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
