Takuan is usually eaten with a bowl of rice.
I made this for my son's bento and he really liked it, so here's the recipe.

Ingredients

1 serving
  1. 1Hot cooked rice
  2. 1 sliceTakuan
  3. 1 tspMayonnaise
  4. 1handful Bonito flakes
  5. 1Nori seaweed

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Chop the takuan roughly.

  2. 2

    Combine rice, takuan, mayonnaise, and bonito flakes. Mix thoroughly, and form into rice balls to finish. Wrap up with nori if you'd like.
