I had some bacon, but didn't want to go to the trouble of making bacon-wrapped asparagus, so I made something which was easy and quick.It's very easy. Once you've turned the heat on, fry quickly so you don't fry it too much! The aromatic garlic and the umami of the bacon really bring out the tastiness of the asparagus. For 1-2 servings. Today, I'm making a Chinese-style dish using tender asparagus. I'll wrap it in bacon and fry it, then mix it with soy sauce and simmer it all together with the asparagus. It's crispy, fragrant, and delicious.

I tried boiling the asparagus first, but then I found that microwaving was faster, and so I came up with this recipe.Pre-cooking the asparagus and carrots in the microwave reduces the amount of frying time, so the bacon doesn't burn as easily and looks appetizing. This dish can be made by pan-frying, steaming in a rice cooker, or using an air fryer! When steaming in a rice cooker, you can pour the sauce directly over it. In an air fryer, cook for about 5 minutes; it's delicious even without the sauce.

Long story short, I made them for our Christmas dinner. But I couldn’t able to take a picture of it because my hubby kept eating it while he did FaceTime with his family.And today he asked me to make it again. So here we go, sitting on the family room enjoying the warm asparagus bacon skewers while watching “Breaking Bad” series on Netflix. This asparagus bacon skewers is so easy to make yet crispy delicious. For anyone who like to try it, here is the recipe.

Thank you for the hall of fame & publication! Adding potatoes to the classic combination of asparagus and bacon makes it more filling. Pre-cooking in the microwave makes it easy! The origin of this recipe: I adapted a classic asparagus recipe passed down from my mother.

I personally don't like asparagus, but my son & daughter-in-law who love it said this was "the bomb"! So I guess it's pretty good. lol! I loved the bacon anyway! :-)

I absolutely love this recipe. I went to Sam's Club and purchased Blue cheese for another recipe, realized I had too much blue cheese on-hand and too little time to use it all up before it went bad. Next night, preparing some asparagus and thought, "what if I sauteed some garlic, crisp some bacon, throw that on some asparagus and top with blue cheese?" Let's just say the blue cheese did not go to waste for the first time ever. This is also excellent the next day as all the flavors have set in!
