Grape Jam

cookpad.japan @cookpad_jp
I created this recipe because I received a lot of grapes.
When you are pouring the jam into bottles, it might be still runny, but when it cools, it will thicken and be perfect. Recipe by uzukaji
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Wash the grapes one by one, cut in half, then remove the seeds.
- 2
Add the Step 1 grapes into a pot, add the granulated sugar and lemon juice on top, then turn on the heat.
- 3
Remove the grape skin (about 1/3 of the mixture) halfway through cooking. It's easy to scoop out the skin when it floats to the surface.
- 4
Simmer for about 30 minutes while adjusting the heat between low and medium, then it's done!
- 5
Pour into bottles.
- 6
Stick a label, and wrap it.

Grape Jam
I have concord and catawba grapes in my backyard and find this far easier than trying to make wine. The key is to pick 'em before the wildlife gets 'em...lol

Grape and apple jam
I bought white grapes but they where not so nice much to tard. So instead of letting them in the fruit basket to go off. I made jam out of them

Grapefruit Jam
When I see fruit in season, I just can't resist the urge to turn it into jam.Add it to yogurt, or spread on bread.I love the sweet smell in the kitchen when I'm making jam, too.Since both the peel and membranes are removed, not a lot of scum will come out. Be sure keep skimming when it starts to simmer.I don't like the bitterness of marmalade so I leave the peel out, but if you do like that bitter flavor, it's probably better to add the peel for a bitter flavor accent. For children to remember.Since the jam thickens as it cools, if you boil it down exactly to your ideal consistency, it will become too thick. Stop just before it reaches the ideal thickness. Recipe by cafe-cafe

Chunky Kyoho Grape Jam
I received a bunch of Kyoho grapes for free. The amount of sugar is 10 g to every 100 g of grapes with skin and seeds (in a 1:10 ratio), so adjust it according to the amount of grapes you use.Grapes will fall apart if you don't treat them gently, so be careful not to stir too much. Recipe by Otometeo

Grape Jam in a Pressure Cooker
I used tart and unripened grapes...(although they aren't purple in the photo shown in Step 1, they are actually grapes). A pressure cooker allows you to eat the skins, even if you're only cooking for a short amount of time. These are tart red globe grapes, so I used a lot of sugar. You can reduce the amount to 1/2 to taste. If you simmer for too long, it will become hard and caramelized when it cools, so be careful. Recipe by Sakura131

Raspberry Jam
I started growing raspberries and blackberries last year. This is the first jam I've ever made and I am addicted to its deliciousness. The fragrance and flavor is great if you use granulated sugar. I usually use lemon juice. I used citric acid once because I read in a book that it really brings out the savory flavor of the fruit, but I couldn't really tell any difference. (Apparently you can substitute lemon juice for kiwi or fig) You should use a pot that can withstand acidity, such as an enameled or stainless steel pot (thought enameled is best). This is quite sweet and sour, so if you want a sweeter jam, taste it in Step 4 and adjust the amount of sugar. Recipe by Genpokin

California Farm No Seeds Grape Jam
We make wine and jam from our own grapes: spanish tempranillo, french mourvedre, and french grenache noir grapes. Lots of seeds. I make one quart jar of jam from 4 pounds of grapes, add agave syrup nectar. Here is how we remove the seeds, which reduces the jam to 3 cups of jam from 4 pounds of grape clusters. Year round summer sweetness for sandwiches.

Fig Jam
My family is separated into those who eat figs plain and those who like them as a jam, but only a few of us like them plain so they go bad fairly quickly. This is why I made them into a jam that can be stored. The amount of sugar will depend on the sweetness of the figs, so adjust as needed. Ripe figs are pretty sweet, so please add more lemon juice. In Step 4, be careful not to let it boil down too much. Recipe by Nu-shi. (Uses 1 pack of 5 small figs.)

Fig Jam
Figs are in season, so I decided to make jam out of them!Adjust the amount of sugar to your liking – you could decrease the amount if you want, but if you plan on keeping the jam for a long time be sure to use an amount of sugar that's over 50% of the weight of the figs. Recipe by uzukaji. (Yields two 170 g jars.)

Homemade Grape Jam Using Kyohou Grapes
We received a lot of Kyohou grapes as a gift, so I turned some into jam. When straining (squeezing) the jam at step 4, it's very hot so do it after cooling it down a bit.If you add some lemon juice at the end, the color will become very bright and pretty. Recipe by yamita

Lemon Jam
We received a lot of freshly picked lemons as a gift. The cooking time will vary depending on how strong the heat is, so adjust.By not simmering it for too long, you can preserve the fragrance and color of the lemons. If you leave the white pith, it will be bitter. Thinly peel off just the zest using a vegetable peeler. You don't have to parboil the zest - it will still be delicious. Recipe by Yukijirushi

Blueberry Jam

Blackberry Jam
There are blackberries that grow in my backyard every year and I wanted to eat them somehow, so I turned them into a jar of jam.Don't blend too much or crush the seeds. The hard, little seeds can leave a taste in your mouth, so strain the berries to remove them as much as possible.I rarely see blackberries being sold in supermarkets here where I live, but you can easily grow your own outside on the balcony. They have sharp thorns, but they will grow into such sweet berries. Recipe by cafe-cafe.

Strawberry jam

Pineapple Jam
I made these for the filling for my pineapple tarts, but you can use it like normal jam for sandwiches or cakes. It's a simple recipe passed down in my family. The amount of sugar can be adjusted to your liking. The half ripe pineapples give the jam a slight sour taste, so if you prefer you can use ripe ones.

Mulberry Jam
I came up with this recipe after 9 years of experimentation. I wonder if the mulberry tree in the courtyard of my alma mater is still bearing fruit.Since snipping off the stems does not remove the part that is inside the berry, I've discovered this method. Since the berries are separated from the stem, there's no need for a blender or food processor. Recipe by Iguanano egao

Strawberry Banana Jam
I love "Gomekochan's" banana jam, and I thought it would be the perfect match with a strawberry jam so I made this recipe! You can make this jam quickly, unlike normal strawberry jam where you have to leave it for a while. It will be very sweet if you use ripened bananas. It is very easy for the jam to scorch, so please stir while boiling it down. Easy Strawberry Jam
I always make strawberry jam at this time of year. Homemade strawberry jam is delicious.Even if the jam is runny after simmering for 10-15 minutes, it will thicken when cooled. If it still doesn't thicken, simmer a bit more.It has quite a mild sweetness, so you can enjoy it in many ways, on bread, with yogurt, in desserts, etc. Recipe by pastis009
