I saw something similar to this on TV, so came up with my own recipe.

I recommend having it with a lot of ice. I diluted it with carbonated water, it also works with mineral water. Recipe by Cookie shiasu

Ingredients

6 servings
  1. 4to 5 Lemons
  2. 500 mlCarbonated water
  3. 1good amount Ice cubes
  4. Basil syrup
  5. 4to 5 stalks Basil (with stems)
  6. 100 mlWhite sugar
  7. 100 mlWater

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Thoroughly rinse the basil, then cut the stalk in half lengthways. Combine the sugar, water, and basil in a small saucepan and heat on medium.

  2. 2

When the sugar dissolves and the water starts to boil, remove from the heat, and let sit for about 3 minutes.

  3. 3

Strain in a colander, then chill in the refrigerator. (You should have 150 ml of syrup.)

  4. 4

Squeeze the lemons, and remove the seeds. It's actually quite tasty if a little of the pulp gets into the juice.

  5. 5

Put the ice in a pitcher, slowly pour in the lemon juice, basil syrup, and carbonated water and stir. Pour into individual cups.
