I added tofu into my regular pork rice bowl.

You could use either firm or silken tofu, but I actually prefer silken.
Scatter on green onions for color.
Use the leftovers for rice bowls.

Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 1 blockTofu
  2. 150to 200 grams Sliced pork chunks
  3. 1Onion
  4. 2 1/2to 3 tablespoons Soy sauce
  5. 2 tbspSake
  6. 1 tbspSugar
  7. 2 tbspMirin
  8. 200 mlJapanese dashi stock
  9. 1thumbtip's worth Grated ginger

Cooking Instructions

    Julienne the onion into slices of about 8 mm. Chop tofu into bite-sized pieces.

    Spread oil in a pan and grill the pork. When browned, add onion and stir-fry briskly.

    When pork is nicely colored, add dashi stock, all condiments, ginger, and tofu. Put the meat on top of the tofu and cover the pan. Simmer for 10 minutes over medium heat.

    It's done after 10 minutes! It's even more tasty if you warm it up again after it's cooled down!!
