It finally came out really good after trial and error, so I wrote down the ingredients.

Cook the sauce together with the juices from the steak.
Keep the leftover sauce in the refrigerator. It will be even better the next day. Recipe by Piyonattsu

Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 1 mediumOnion
  2. 1 cloveGarlic
  3. 100 mlSoy sauce
  4. 50 mlSake
  5. 50 mlMirin
  6. 1 tspSugar
  7. 1 tspVinegar

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Peel the garlic and crush with the side of a knife. When you cook the steak, cook the garlic along with it. When the meat has finished cooking, remove the meat, but leave the garlic.

  2. 2

Add the grated onion and remaining ingredients to the frying pan with the meat juices and garlic. Let it simmer.

  3. 3

It's done. If there's any leftover, keep it in the fridge. It tastes better after sitting for awhile.

  4. 4

If you're planning to make it just for storage, don't fry the garlic, but grate it and add it with all of the ingredients when you simmer them.
