I created this recipe because I wanted to eat a delicious steak.

Please make sure that you evaporate alcohol off from the sake and mirin.

Ingredients

1 serving
  1. 1/2Onion
  2. 1 cloveGarlic
  3. 100 mlSake
  4. 50 mlMirin
  5. 100 mlSoy sauce
  6. 1Ginger (1 x 1 cm piece)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Mince the onion, garlic, and ginger in a food processor (You can grate them as well).

  2. 2

    Add the sake and mirin into a pot. Turn on the heat, and evaporate the alcohol. Then add all the remaining ingredients.

  3. 3

    When it starts to boil, turn the heat down to very low, and simmer for 2 minutes. Leave it to cool. It tastes better if you let it rest for more than 2-3 hours.

    It's also perfect with cubed cuts of steaks!
