Dessicated coconut puff puff

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Assemble all the dry Ingredients: Flour, sugar, yeast, salt, coconut and also the liquid which is water.
- 2
Mix everything well, cover and set aside for 40 minutes but leave some desiccated coconut to sprinkle later on the puff (optional)
- 3
Remove the cover, and by now, it should have formed bubbles, use your spatula or hand to mix everything together before you start frying
- 4
Place your deep pan on medium heat, add the cooking oil. The oil should not be too hot and not too cold. If it's too hot, it won't be well cooked and if it's too warm, it gets soaked in the oil.
- 5
Scoop the batter into the oil with your hand to form round balls, when one side is golden brown, flip to the other side until both sides are golden brown.
- 6
Remove and drain the excess oil. Your Coconut puff-puff is ready to be enjoyed then you sprinkle the remaining coconut.

California Farm Coconut Puff Pastry Filo Dough California Farm Coconut Puff Pastry Filo Dough
Some fresh pastry dough ingredients like butter, milk and eggs dont freeze well or long, but I like to make an large batch of puff pastry dough and keep the extra in the freezer. So I use water and solid frozen coconut oil instead, rasped or grated. The weight of the ingredients and the preparation method has to be accurate. Digital Kitchen scales now have setting for grams. ( kitchen scales are under ten dollars at wallmart or on amazon). This recipe has both grams and ounces. Hobby Horseman
