Microwaves are different therefore can yield different results and can overcook this mug cake if you aren’t careful.

My microwave is 1200 watts and I cooked mine on high power for 2 to 3 minutes tops.

Ingredients

5 Minutes
1 serving
  1. 2 tbspmelted butter
  2. 1large egg
  3. 2 tbspmilk
  4. 1 tspvanilla extract
  5. 1/4 cupgranulated sugar
  6. 6 tablespoonsflour
  7. 1/4 teaspoonbaking powder
  8. Tiny pinch of salt

Cooking Instructions

    Use a sizeable microwave-safe Mug with enough head space for the cake to rise without pouring over.

    Add butter, egg, milk, vanilla extract and sugar

  3. 3

    Add in flour, baking powder and salt, whisk until all ingredients are combined and batter has no clumps.

    Microwave mug cake for 3 minutes on high. If cake is still running add an extra 30 seconds, make sure not to over cook your cake.

    Carefully remove from microwave and enjoy!
