Cucumber salad

This is a summer salad but you can make it any season or any occasion! It’s going to be delicious!!

A German side dish or salad that often gets overlooked, but makes for a great accompaniment to most German meals. A great side too with grilled meats, especially with brats and chicken. It's very popular when “cukes” are in season / garden harvested, but year-round enjoyment when store bought should also be considered.

I made this when I didn't have an appetite.Use this recipe with apples, pears, or persimmons for a tasty seasonal salad. It's also tasty with the juice that comes out of the fruit after chilling it in the fridge.When transferring to serving dish, a dash of black pepper will add a nice touch. A nice summertime side dish for cookouts and family gatherings

I'm sharing another pickled cucumber recipe, which is also easy and quick to make. As long as you have all the ingredients at home, you can prepare this dish in half an hour. You can serve this dish after marinating it for 30 minutes, but the longer you marinate it, the more flavorful it'll get. Make sure you keep the pickled cucumber in the refrigerator. And I recommend finishing it within 5 days. This pickled cucumber can be served as an appetizer or a side with any meaty or hearty dish. The only thing i do differently on the recipe is i use one large seedless cucumber, around 12" and omit the tomatoes. Very tasty side dish, enjoy!

This is a simple recipe from my childhood. My stepfather always made this growing up. We ate this as a side dish, as an appetizer, at cookouts,...even as a topper for other foods! He usually only did "Cucumbers & Tomatoes in Italian Dressing" but when I started making it myself in my late 20s I started adding onion because I'm obsessed with them! 😆👌 Then, in my early 30s a good friend made this at her home with the addition of green peppers as she had grown a lot of them that year. So now, my personal recipe has adapted to the inclusion of all of these wonderful foods! I also, play around occasionally with the dressing. 😎👍 This particular time I used a raspberry vinaigrette in place of Italian Dressing & I have also used regular vinaigrettes as well. This is always a nice addition to dinner or the cookout. And even as a midday snack! 👏🤤

This is a very fresh salad with a wonderful flavor.
