Ingredients

10 mins
4 servings
  1. 1 1/2 cupWater
  2. 1 tablespoonButter
  3. 1/2 bagMasarepa
  4. 1/2 cupCotija cheese
  5. 1/2 tablespoonsalt

Cooking Instructions

10 mins
  1. 1

    Pour 1/2 bag in bowl

  2. 2

1/2 tablespoon of salt & 1/2 cup of cotija & 1 1/2 cups of water

  3. 3

Place 1 tablespoon of butter & water in container and place in microwave for 30 seconds. You want the butter to melt slightly. Pour water/butter & then cheese in flour.

  4. 4

Slowly Add 1 cup of luke warm water with slightly melted butter & cheese. Knead until all dry flour has absorbed the water.

  5. 5

You want the flour to be malleable and almost like play dough consistency a little more soft than play dough.

  6. 6

When creating the disk, they should be at least 1/2 inch thick. They cook quickest.

  7. 7

350 degrees Fahrenheit, add a non sticking spray or butter. Whichever you want. Cook on both sides until golden. To make sure with a paper towel press down on them and they should slightly rise up on their own. That’s when they’re ready.

  8. 8

Eat them on their own, or with beef, chicken, very well seasoned tofu! They’re tasty ❤️

Couple questions.. how thin should these be? I can't tell if they puff up a little when cooked or not.. and are these used for dipping? Or just eaten the way they are?
Thanks!!
