Tagine of Grape Leaves with Beef Slices

Ingredients

  1. 2.2 poundsbeef slices
  2. 2potatoes, sliced
  3. 1onion, sliced
  4. Juice of 2 large lemons
  5. 1/4 cuppomegranate molasses
  6. Beef broth
  7. Salt and black pepper
  8. 1 tablespoonghee
  9. 1quantity of pre-prepared stuffed grape leaves (recipe available in my previous recipes)

Cooking Instructions

    In a pan over heat, add the ghee and let it heat up well. Season the beef slices with salt and black pepper, then place them in the pan and brown on both sides until golden. Remove from the pan and repeat with all slices.

    In a non-stick pot, layer the onion and potato slices, then place half of the beef slices on top. Layer the stuffed grape leaves over them as shown in the picture.

    After finishing one layer of stuffed grape leaves, add another layer of beef slices and continue layering with grape leaves until all are used, as shown in the picture.

    Add a suitable amount of broth, lemon juice, and pomegranate molasses. Cover and bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat and let it cook until done.

    Invert onto a serving dish and serve. Enjoy!
