A great side dish. This is the only way my mother was able to get me to eat cooked Rutabaga…big hit everywhere I brought it. I make every thanksgiving…

Ingredients

4-6 servings
  1. 1 lbBaby Carrots
  2. 1 lbPeeled & Chopped Rutabaga
  3. 1/2 StickButter
  4. 2 tspSalt
  5. 2 tspBlack Pepper

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Place Carrots & Rutabaga in a pot of water. Enough water to cover veggies

  2. 2

    Bring to boil and cook til soft and tender, about 20 minutes.

  3. 3

    Strain veggies and place in large bowl

  4. 4

    Add Butter, Salt, & Pepper

  5. 5

    Mash into desired texture. I like a small chunky texture

  6. 6

    Taste…add Butter, Salt n Pepper if needed

  7. 7

    Time to Serve and Enjoy
