Mashed Parsnips & Cauliflower Mashed Parsnips & Cauliflower
I came up with this dish using parsnips, which I saw for the first time in England. There aren't really any hints, since all you do is mash them, but as I mentioned in Step 3, I found that the long fibers of the parsnips didn't get stuck in the masher as easily, if they were cut in cubes, rather than rounds. You don't need to worry about this if you are going to put it through a food processor. Recipe by Sausundo cookpad.japan -
Cauliflower Mash Cauliflower Mash
You can use it as a dip or as a healthier version of mashed potatoes. It goes well with meat and you can barely taste the cauliflower. It's also very creamy so you don't have to add a lot of butter red.queen -

Rutabaga Rutabaga
I would cook these more often but I don't like canned and the fresh are hard to cut and you can't always find them. The taste is awesome. It's worth the trouble of hunting them down and working with them. The rutabaga are hard to cut so be very careful when doing so. I actually bought a special knife for this root vegetable, and whole cabbages. skunkmonkey101 -
