Peel the sweet potatoes, cut them into pieces, and boil them in a small pot. Once they can be pierced with a fork, remove them from the heat.

Drain well to remove the water. In the small pot, mash the sweet potatoes with an immersion blender, adding the milk.

Once the mixture is smooth, add the butter, salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg.

Stir over very low heat until the butter melts.
