Easy Apple Pie

Caramelized apple is really tasty, so I used it to make apple pies.
When making the caramelized apple, evaporating the moisture and letting it chill well will make the pastry easier to handle. For 4 pies. Recipe by Ayuna

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Make the caramelized appleand set aside to cool.
- 2
Leave the pastry at room temperature for 10 minutes, cut each into 4 and stretch slightly with a rolling pin. Roll out the top sheets slightly larger.
- 3
Put several small cuts in the top sheets. If you are using homemade pastry, pierce the bottom sheets several times with a fork.
- 4
Pour the chilled caramelized apple into the centre of the sheets. Pour in generous amount. It will be tastier.
- 5
Cover with the top sheets and push the edges with a fork to seal. Coat the surface with beaten egg yolk.
- 6
Bake for 20 minutes in an oven preheated to 200℃, and they're done.

About 20 years ago, I learned from an acquaintance that you can make apple pie without making the filling using raw apples. That was the start of this recipe. If you use raw apples as-is, they exude water, which makes the puff pastry soggy. Thus, after a lot of trial and error, I came to this recipe. The panko absorb the moisture that comes out of the apples. The butter adds richness. I use dried panko. This apple pie was invented as a way to use up apples that were about to go bad!The filling tastes better if you mound it generously in the center of the pies.Adjust the amount of sugar used depending on how sweet the apple you're using is.If the egg yolk is too thick, add a little water to thin it out. Don't add too much water! For 4 pies; about 10 x 5 cm [3.9 x 2.0 in] each. Recipe by Banyangarden cookpad.japan -

I wanted to eat apple pie so much so decided to make this. It's so easy to make, so I often make it whilst chatting to my friends. You can make 2 pies from the apple filling in step 2. If you want to make a second pie, it's better to start making it just as the first one is almost done, this way the pastry sheets won't get too mushy. If we only make 1 pie at home we eat the rest of the apple filling with yogurt or ice cream. After combining and tinkering with various recipes, I settled on this version. Good flavor and no soggy bottom. Leaving out excess fluid from the apples ensures that you don’t end up with a runny mess. The apples bake up nicely and even retain a very slight bite instead of turning into mush. If you like really soft apples in your pie and a runnier inside, simply add some of the excess apple fluid back into the pie.#Holiday #Thanksgiving #Dessert #American Chris Gan -
My Apple Pie My Apple Pie
Now that it's getting colder, it's the season for pie. And when I think of Jonathan apples that means one thing, apple pie. I'm not very good at using normal flaky pastry and the apples get soggy, so I always bake the apples first and make the pie like this.If the pastry becomes too soft while carrying out these steps then please continue doing them while chilling the pastry in the fridge. The amount of apples you will need will change according to the size of the pie and apples. This pie isn't so sweet, so please adjust the sugar amount to make it sweeter if you wish. I just thought I would make this recipe so when a lot of people come to a party, there's enough pie to go around. When using the frozen puff pastry for steps 5 - 7, only take 1 sheet of pastry out of the fridge at a time. If they become soft they will be too hard to cut. For step 8, keep the rest of the frozen puff pastry in the freezer and take it out while the previous batch is still baking. Repeat this until all of the pastry has been used.If you split your apple chunks into 4 parts, you will have the perfect amount for each batch of pies. Recipe by Dockinoko cookpad.japan -

I hand made some pastry, so I wanted to eat an apple pie flavored with lots of my favorite cinnamon.-Be careful not to burn your fingers when removing the plastic wrap after making the filling.-You can use broken castella cake because it will be covered with apple. About 1cm of cake at the bottom is good enough.-About half of the pastry will be left over from this recipe, so use the rest for another sweet. Recipe by nyonta cookpad.japan
