Ingredients

  1. 1/3(about 300g) daikon radish
  2. 1 canmackerel in water
  3. 2/3 cup (150 ml)water
  4. 2 tablespoonssoy sauce
  5. 1 tablespooneach sake, sugar, mirin
  6. 1 tablespoonwater, 1/2 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with water
  7. as neededChopped green onions,

Cooking Instructions

    Peel the daikon and cut it into 1cm thick quarter slices. Chop the green onions finely.

    Put the ingredients marked with ☆ into a pot and simmer the daikon until it becomes tender.

    Once the daikon is cooked, add the canned mackerel and simmer for about 5 minutes.

    Add the cornstarch mixture to thicken the sauce. Serve in a dish and sprinkle with green onions.
