Ingredients

Serves 1 serving
  1. 2.8 ozpasta
  2. Halfa bunch of spinach
  3. 2 slices(optional) ham (bacon or sausage)
  4. Butter as needed (or margarine if unavailable)
  5. 1 tablespoonflour
  6. 2/3 cupmilk (150 ml)
  7. 1ladleful of pasta cooking water
  8. 1/2 tablespoonconsomme
  9. Coarse black pepper to taste

Cooking Instructions

    Cook the pasta in plenty of salted water (not included in ingredient list) for 1 minute less than the package instructions.

    Blanch the spinach or wash it well and cut into 1.5-2 inch pieces. Cut the ham into half circles, 1/2 inch wide.

    Add butter to a frying pan and sauté the spinach and ham.

    Reduce to low heat, sprinkle flour evenly over the mixture, and stir well until the floury texture is gone.

    Gradually add milk to the mixture, stirring well to avoid lumps. Add a ladleful of pasta cooking water and consomme, and stir until thickened.

    Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and mix well. Adjust the seasoning with salt if it's too bland.

    Serve on a plate and sprinkle with black pepper. Enjoy!
