Ingredients

  1. Nonstick baking spray (for the pan)
  2. 5 tablespoonssalted butter (melted)
  3. 3/4 cupbrown sugar
  4. 2large eggs
  5. 1 1/2 teaspoonspure vanilla extract
  6. 4-5very ripe bananas, mashed (leave a little chunky)
  7. 1 3/4 cupall-purpose flour
  8. 1 teaspoonbaking soda
  9. 1/2 teaspoonsalt
  10. (optional) chocolate chips or walnuts
  11. 1-2 tablespoonsturbinado cane sugar / sugar in the raw (for topping)

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit; Spray an 8x8 inch pan

    In a bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well combined. Add the bananas and mix until combined.

    Add baking soda, salt and slowly incorporate the flour; add chocolate chips or walnuts if desired (optional).

    Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly. Sprinkle with the turbinado cane sugar

    Bake for 45 minutes, then let cool slightly in the pan; Enjoy!
