Fried Mac and Cheese Balls

Ingredients

  1. Mac and Cheese---------
  2. 1/2 poundelbow macaroni pasta
  3. 2 quartswater
  4. 1 tablespoonsalt
  5. 1 tablespoonextra Virgin olive oil
  6. 1-1/2 cupextra sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  7. 1/2 cupevaporated milk
  8. 2 tablespoonsbutter
  9. Coating---------
  10. 2large eggs
  11. 1-1/2 cuppanko breadcrumbs
  12. As neededoil to deep fry

Cooking Instructions

    Boil the pasta with salty water

  2. 2

    When done drain the water add pasta back to pot with butter stirring constantly

  3. 3

    Add milk let it heat but don't boil or cheese sauce may break and become grainy

  4. 4

    When hot add cheese stirring constantly

  5. 5

    The cheese will become creamy. Immediately remove from heat

  6. 6

    Put into a deep bowl and put into the refrigerator for at least 3-4 hours to get cold and hard.

    Heat the oil

  8. 8

    Beat the eggs and put the breadcrumbs on a plate. Scoop some Mac and cheese and form a ball

    Add to eggs

  10. 10

    Coat with breadcrumbs

  11. 11

    Add to hot oil

  12. 12

    Fry all the ball turning as needed.

    Move to a paper towel

  14. 14

    Serve I hope you enjoy!

    You can eat these with marinara sauce, buffalo wing sauce or as is.
