My Dad found this recipe and made it for our Christmas feast in 1993. It's been a holiday family favourite ever since. Excellent accompaniment to turkey and great on sandwiches. Enjoy!

Ingredients

4 cups
  1. 4 cupcranberries (frozen ok)
  2. 1 cupseedless raisins
  3. 1 1/3 cupsugar
  4. 1 1/2 tspground ginger (or fresh)
  5. 1/4 tspground cloves
  6. 1 tspground cinnamon
  7. 1 cupwater
  8. 1medium onion chopped
  9. 1medium apple peeled cored and diced
  10. 1/2 cupchopped celery

Cooking Instructions

    In a large sauce pan combine cranberries, raisins, sugar, ginger, cloves, cinnamon and water. Cook over med heat for 15 minutes.

    Add the onion, apple and celery. Cook for another 15 minutes.

    Cool and refridgerate. It can also be canned or frozen for later use. It makes 4 cups.
