Crunchy Fried Noodles with Ankake Sauce Crunchy Fried Noodles with Ankake Sauce
My father and husband both love these noodles! I usually follow the recipe as written, but I adjust the flavor accordingly to whatever I add (ex. If onions are replaced with Japanese leeks, it'll lack natural sweetness so I add sugar, or add XO sauce, etc.)If you're going to use shrimp or squid, it's better to replace the oyster sauce for XO sauce. Depending on how many ingredients you add in, it may lack flavor, so add soy sauce (or salt) to adjust. Recipe by Sabumochi cookpad.japan -
Sardines Marinated in Tomato Nanban Sauce Sardines Marinated in Tomato Nanban Sauce
I was given tons of sardines, and I wanted to make delicious dishes with them!So I made my favorite Nanban sauce dish with them !Maybe I shouldn't say this myself, but they are incredibly delicious, and I couldn't believe myself! You can use a frying pan as you fry the sardines with plenty of olive oil!!This dish is also delicious with horse mackerel instead of sardines. You definitely need to add canned tomatoes!I used cornstarch since we run a cake shop, but you can use katakuriko or plain flour instead! Chicken Breast and Potatoes with Chili Sauce Chicken Breast and Potatoes with Chili Sauce
I love shrimp in chili sauce but shrimp can be expensive. So I decided to make it with chicken breast.Make sure you rub the sake and salt into the chicken very well. This will help soften the meat. When you're browning the chicken during Step 5, don't disturb it until the edges start to brown (if you do, the breading will come off). This is a bit spicy. If you don't want it so spicy, you can reduce the amount of doubanjiang and black pepper. Recipe by Mahone cookpad.japan -
Teriyaki Glaze/ Marinade and Finishing Sauce Teriyaki Glaze/ Marinade and Finishing Sauce
I originally used this sauce a marinade for steak and chicken skewers that I grilled. They make such delicious appetizers! From there we tried shrimp, pork and fish fillets, all were excellent! Fresh vegetables are equally as good. My latest use was using it as a finishing sauce for sous vides final browning, it was great for that as well. fenway -

Chicken and Japanese Leek in Soy Sauce & Butter Milk Sauté Chicken and Japanese Leek in Soy Sauce & Butter Milk Sauté
We never lack for milk in my house. I use it in cooking and in baked goods. Anything goes well with milk, and so this time I mixed it with soy sauce and butter. If you're not a fan of spicy dishes, or if cooking for children, adjust the amount of red chili pepper. In place of onion, you can use asparagus, broccoli, or spinach, and it will still be delicious. Recipe by Renbasu cookpad.japan -

Sautéed Chicken Breast Meat in a Sweet Miso Sauce Sautéed Chicken Breast Meat in a Sweet Miso Sauce
Of course I want to cut calories, even if it is with dry and tasteless chicken. But with this recipe, it'll become plump and delicious.Cut the chicken breast into fine pieces, soak in sake, then dredge in flour to prevent it from drying out. Coating it keeps the juices from coming out, and soaks up the sauce. The juices and sauce cling to the chicken well, so you can use it as a side dish in your bento as well. The garlic shoots give a more subtle aroma than regular garlic. It becomes sweet when sautéed. Recipe by pegupepepe cookpad.japan -
