Ingredients

6 servings
  1. 1 lbground beef
  2. 1onion, diced
  3. 1green pepper, diced
  4. 2 candiced tomatoes (14.5 oz each)
  5. 3/4 cupwhite rice, cooked
  6. 1 cupshredded monterey jack cheese
  7. 1 1/2 tspchili powder
  8. 2 tbspWorcestershire sauce
  9. 1 1/2 tspsalt & pepper
  10. 1/2 tspcayenne pepper (optional)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Brown beef in skillet. Add onion and green pepper. Cook until tender and drain fat.

    Add tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce and seasonings. Bring to boil. Stir in rice.

    Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.

  4. 4

    During the last 5 minutes of cooking either stir cheese into the hash or sprinkle on top to melt and serve.

    **I served this with cornbread and honey butter..yum!**
