Ingredients

12 servings
  1. 4 cupsCut and hulled strawberries
  2. 1 1/2 cupsfine cane sugar
  3. 1/2 cupFresh squeezed Lemon juice

Cooking Instructions

    In a large bowl mix the sugar and strawberries and let it sit for about 10 mins.

    Into a heavy bottom stainless steel sauce pan/Instant Pot, transfer the strawberry mixture along with the lemon juice.

  3. 3

    Cook on low heat for about 20 mins until the berries release juices and sugar dissolves and the mixture starts slow boil.

  4. 4

    Mix well with a spatula and mash the berries lightly leaving tiny chunks in the mixture.

    Once the mixture is thick and coats the back of a wooden spoon, remove the pan from heat.

  6. 6

    Make sure you have prep the canning jars/glass jars for storing the preserve.

    Glass jar should be hot and sterilized and dry.

  8. 8

    Transfer the preserve into the jars and make sure its air tight.

  9. 9

    Store in cool dry place and refrigerate and use.

  10. 10

    This preserve will stay fresh for about 1-2 months.
