Easy Whole Strawberry Preserves

Homemade jam is the best kind!
Since strawberries were on sale, I made jam! This is an annual ritual.

I recommend using small strawberries!
Please adjust the amount of sugar to taste.
Since I prefer the texture of the preserves, I'm careful not to over cook them.
To jar them, sterilize a jar in boiling water, fill the jar and seal the lid while still hot, then turn it upside down until cool. Recipe by Daichantomame

Ingredients

  1. 2packs Strawberries, small
  2. 150 gramsGranulated sugar
  3. 1/4Lemon

Cooking Instructions

    Rinse the strawberries and hull!

  2. 2

    Put the strawberries in a sauce pan, and sprinkle sugar on top. Let sit for 1 hour.

    After 1 hour, the liquid should be drawn out of the strawberries like this. Simmer over low to medium heat.

    Skim off the scum and add lemon juice.

  5. 5

    It's ready within 30 minutes! It's ready when the strawberries become slightly translucent and the liquid thickens.

    It's delicious served on yogurt!! Piping hot jam on ice cream is also incredibly tasty!
