This recipe contains quick cooking oats as i do not have rolled oats on hand. It also contains less raisins but you may adjust according to your preference. The end result is still as good - crunchy exterior with gooey interior. Karlos Castañeda -
Amazing oatmeal raisin cookies Amazing oatmeal raisin cookies
This recipe originally from mrs. Fields recipe, but I slightly modified it.I cut the sugar into half, reminding that sugar here is sweeter than sugar outside southeast Asia. So if you live outside southeast Asia, feel free to add more sugar, up to double the amounts.I used granulated brown coconut sugar but you can change it into brown sugar. This soft baked cookies in not too sweet, just the way I like it. This recipe has been passed down through our family since at least the mid 1800s. We call them "Bubba's Oatmeal Cookies" because we called our grandmother Bubba. She always had a batch of these wonderful cookies around. They are not overly sweet and are lightweight. They have the texture more of a small tea cake more than a traditional cookie. 1953kenny
