Quick and easy fresh taro chips
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Peel taro or buy it already peeled, then use a peeler to thinly slice the taro.
- 2
Add oil to pan, medium to high heat, let it boil, add taro slices, fry both sides, about 30 second (depend on the heat). Remove and place on paper towel to soak up excess oil. Done, enjoy.

Optional - sprinkle salt, pepper, spices on chips for additional flavor. Haven't tried baking them, but you can by putting sliced taro on baking pn, spray oil on it, and bake.

Easy! Tasty! Sweet Potato Chips Easy! Tasty! Sweet Potato Chips
When I added soy sauce, these became even tastier than I expected!!They were also a hit with my friend, and when I shared the recipe with her, her family also raved about them.Could it be that soy sauce is the taste of comfort for Japanese people?!- If sliced too thinly, the chips will be too oily, so slice to a substantial thickness.- To drain the excess oil, spread on a sheet of newspaper.- Adjust the amount of sauce to the sweetness of the potato, or to whatever you prefer.- If deep-fried for too long, they'll become bitter, so be careful!! Homemade Tortilla Chips Homemade Tortilla Chips
Simple salt-flavored tortilla chips weren't available in my neighborhood before, so I've been making my own chips for a while. They're a hit when I serve them to guests with avocado dip, so this has been in my standard repertoire for 12 years. If you are using store-bought corn tortillas, cut them into triangles with scissors. In Step 3, if you find the tortilla mix hard to handle, coat your hands in oil and roll it into balls.Since the chips are served with dip, I didn't salt them. They are delicious when freshly fried, and simply flavored with salt and spices of your choice.Spread the mixture thinly for crispy results. Recipe by Brandy cookpad.japan -

Sweet Potato Chips Sweet Potato Chips
I love the salty butter flavor of "Osatsudoki" snacks, and wondered if I could recreate it at home. I gave it a try and my family loved it.☆So I published the recipe. If you slice the sweet potato too thick, it's difficult to quick-fry. Please be sure to adjust the flavor in Step 1. I added salt last, and it was nothing but a lump of salt in the end.I'm scared of flying hot oil, so I combined the oil and the sweet potato together. The oil doesn't have to be pre-warmed for you to be able to quick-fry. Tofu Chips Tofu Chips
I just thought that it'd be nice to have some tofu chips one day.You can top these with your choice of ingredients, such as salt or seaweed, or grated cheese. You could also fry it and it's still delicious! Don't microwave too much at a time or the evaporation of the moisture will prevent the microwave from dehydrating the tofu. Be careful!
