Ingredients

  1. 2 cupsflour
  2. 2 cupssugar
  3. 11/2 cupschopped peanuts
  4. 2 cupsboiling water
  5. 2 teaspoonsBicarbonate
  6. 1 teaspoonVanilla
  7. 11/2 cupsdates chopped
  8. 1/2 cupbutter

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Preheat oven 350degf.Prepare cake tin 13×9×2inch.Mix tog. Chopped dates bicarbonate & boiling water & let stand.

    Mix tog.butter, sugar &vanilla. Then add the date mixture.

  3. 3

    Add the flour n-chopped nuts.

  4. 4

    Pour into prepared baked pan & bake @350degF. for approx. 35mins.

    Test cake with a toothpick to see if done. Cool in pan.
