I had some left over salad and was craving something salty. This is an easy yet tasty local dish that almost every Northerner is familiar with

#Repurstate.I learn how to make dis salad from my mother.My mum use to do it all d time because it's one of my father's favourite dish.

#saladcontest Lettuce is very common among the hausa tribe of northern nigeria.It is mostly eaten with rice,kamzo( burnt part after cooking rice) mixed with oil,fresh tomatoes, kulikuli amongts other ingredients.I prefer taking lettuce in the local way.So today I decided to share my recipe for local lettuce salad so that my counterpart from the east and south can try out.

My sister loves my mein da yaji, thou we are not hausas buh greww up in the north and also enjoy d northern foods😊,so I decided to document this one because, why not😄😄

This was a quick sauce that tasted soo great ehhh it’s your perfect local sauce which I enjoyed with hot white rice

This sauce does wonders for my roast yam or plantain and of course boiled yam or plantain. You can make porridge beans with this sauce if you happen to have left over🤤🤤

Cucumber salad is my favorite salad, and its very delicious and healthy, its simple and only few ingredients. my mom used to make the salad for me and my sisters, i will like to share this recipe and i know u will love it when u try it its, very simple and unique.
