Baked Brownies

I was hesitant to make brownies because I once tried a shiny and crackly brownie recipe, but it turned out dense and burnt... bitter. I saw a brownie recipe from Tintin and decided to try it out of curiosity, and the result was unexpected. I didn't expect it to be shiny, so I didn't take step-by-step photos because I was doubtful at first... but when it was done, I saw it was shiny. I was so happy😀

Ingredients

  1. 2eggs
  2. 3/4 cupgranulated sugar (castor sugar)
  3. 1 packetDancow full cream milk powder (about 2 tablespoons)
  4. 3/4 cupall-purpose flour (about 100 grams)
  5. 1 tablespooncornstarch
  6. 2 tablespoonscocoa powder
  7. 4 1/4 ozchocolate bar, chopped (about 120 grams)
  8. 7 tablespoonsbutter (about 100 grams)
  9. Almonds or cheese for topping, to taste

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Melt the butter over low heat on the stove. Once almost completely melted, add the chopped chocolate and stir until smooth. Remove from heat and let it cool to room temperature.

  2. 2

Beat the eggs and sugar until they are pale and slightly thick, but not too thick.

  3. 3

Turn off the mixer, sift in the dry ingredients using a spatula with a folding motion, then add the melted butter and chocolate. Mix until well combined. Pour into a brownie pan, I use a 10 x 4 inch pan or you can also use an 8-inch square pan ☺ lined with parchment paper and add toppings as desired.

  4. 4

Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes. Don't overbake or it will burn. Hehe... when done, the center will still be a bit wet, but it will set once cooled because of the chocolate chunks.

  5. 5

This is the first time I've made really delicious brownies... yummy... enjoy 😍

  6. 6

Make them again... I was determined after only getting a small piece for 10k outside :-D

  7. 7

Delicious, even my husband didn't comment, and he's usually picky about food. If it's not good, he's very straightforward :-D

  8. 8

Notes: Make sure the sugar is completely dissolved to get that shiny top ;-)
