I was aiming for a simple tart without butter and is easy to make even for beginners.The pinch of salt brings out the flavor. The sweetness is really brought out by the soft flavor of the pancake mix and the sweet custard cream. It's easier to combine and mix the dough batter when using vegetable oil rather than olive oil. I had a craving for some pancakes. I found a recipe in a cookbook and took out all the fancy stuff. They were very delicious. It makes about 18 5-inch pancakes.
