red potatoes • carrots, peeled and grated • celery, finely chopped into little cubes, tops and bottoms removed • onion, coarsely chopped (so it can be removed later if you like) • garlic, lightly smashed • extra virgin olive oil, or whatever oil you prefer • bottle of your favorite ranch dressing, should be about 16 ounces • paprika, or to your taste • salt and pepper to taste
