Alicea's Piña Colada Alicea's Piña Colada
We had probably the best Piña Coladas either one of us had ever had while on our honeymoon in the Virgin Islands. Wanting to recreate what we consumed and not satisfied with the plain ole rum+crème de coconut+pineapple juice+ice recipe, I hunted around and made my own conglomeration of various recipes I found. My hubby says it still tastes more smoothie than slushy (but beware it does pack somewhat of a kick!), but definitely resembles the creamy concoction we got in the Caribbean!Let me know what you think! And if you add your own spins, or find something else to work out better, I'd love to know! Still perfecting this recipe till we recreate our honeymoon vacation Piña Coladas! aliceaengquist -

Pina Colada by MER Pina Colada by MER
Yeah, we know it is a good old classic. Although this rum cocktail is ancient, it still remains to be the symbol of youth, poolside parties and glamorous cruises. A half century ago, it was a drink of the day in San Juan, Puerto Rico where it was beloved by all the locals and tourists. Since that time, the original recipe has received numerous variations, which makes it highly flexible and easy to adapt to your taste.look for more nice recipes here merbrands.com/general/8-fresh-cocktails-with-rum-to-lift-your-pirate-spirit/ Maison ER -
