Ingredients

  • 1onion
  • 1.5 cupchana dal
  • As per tasteGinger garlic paste
  • 1/2 halfcup coriander
  • 2green chillies
  • 1 tsp Carom seeds/ Ajwain
  • 1 tspred chilli
  • As per tastesalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Rinse dal with water and Soak for 5 hours.

  2. 2

    Drain and grind to form a smooth paste

  3. 3

    Transfer to a bowl and add chopped onions, chillies, ginger garlic paste, coriander and spices.

  4. 4

    Now add oil and water as required to the mixture to make a thick batter.

  5. 5

    Now steam as we steam idlis in a stand for 20 mins on low flame

  6. 6

    Serve hot
