Steps

Take a small bowl. Add curd and baking soda to it and mix it well. Cover this bowl and leave this for 5 minutes.

Take a mixing bowl and beat butter in it using a hand mixer or a hand whisk.

Now add powdered sugar. Beat till it gets properly mixed with butter.

Now add the curd + baking soda mixture along with vanilla essence and beat it for 1 minute.

Now add maida and baking powder to the mixture and mix till you get a smooth cake batter.

Grease the cake pan

Bake at 180 C for 30-35 minutes or till a toothpick/knife inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

[Optional] For icing blend fresh cream with refined powdered sugar in equal portions and spread as needed
