Ingredients

  1. 1 cuppoha / flattened rice
  2. 2 tbsprice flour
  3. 2 tbspall purpose flour
  4. 2green chillies chopped finely
  5. 1onion chopped finely
  6. 1 tbspchopped coriander
  7. 10-12roasted curry leaves
  8. 1/4 tspcumin and mustard seeds
  9. 4 tbspcornflour or regular flour for slurry
  10. 1 cupbreadcrumbs
  11. 1 cupoil for frying
  12. To tastesalt
  13. 1 tspchaat masala
  14. 1 tbsphot and sweet tomato sauce or pizza sauce

Steps

    Wash poha and drain water completely.Pour poha in a bowl.Mix rice flour,regular flour in it.Finely chop onion and green chillies and mix in the poha.Mash all.Add ginger paste,salt,hot and sweet tomato sauce or pizza sauce.Mix chopped coriander and roasted or freshly fried curry leaves.Mash all and knead into a smooth dough.If needed sprinkle little water,but it should not be very wet.

    Divide into equal balls.Flatten with the palm of your hand.Make a hole in the middle with your finger or with the cap of a bottle.Make a slurry with cornflour or flour.Dip the doughnuts in this slurry and coat with breadcrumbs.Allow to set in fridge for 15 minutes.Heat oil and fry doughnuts crispy golden brown.Serve hot with tomato sauce or tamarind chutney.
