Roasted Plantain (Boli) + Pomo Sauce

By the time i finished eating, my perception did not remain the same.
My trip to Ibadan inspired this recipe. Boli (roasted plantain) as it's fondly called in Nigeria is not one of the things i crave easily. One reason for that is my first and second experience after buying it in Lagos. The inside felt like raw plantain and i didn't like the taste. So I threw it in the trash each time.
However, last year, during my holiday in Ibadan, I decided to get some lighting batteries at Mokola and my sister dragged me to one Boli joint close by.
We initially planned to buy and take home to eat but when we saw the hot Boli and pomo sauce that went to Harvard, we instantly changed our mind and asked for a bench and a drink to accompany it to lala tummy.
By the time I finished eating, my perception about Boli did not remain the same. Maybe it was because it was sliced and I wasn't taking it with groundnut or because it was accompanied with pomo sauce, I really don't know. All I know is that I enjoyed it that hot afternoon and prepared a recipe sharp sharp.
So here is a quick recipe on how to make the sauce. It's very simple yet tasty. You can always buy the boli outside or roast yours at home. Recipe on how to roast at home coming soon.
Enjoy!!!
