Ingredients

2 servings
  • 150 gChikuwa
  • Note: Chikuwa is a tube-shape Japanese fishcake. Made from Surimi (fish paste). Other Surimi product such as Fish Balls are suitable for this dish
  • 1 teaspoonOil *Sesame Oil recommended
  • 1/2 tablespoonSugar
  • 1/2 tablespoonSoy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoonToasted Sesame Seeds
  • 1 teaspoonAonori (Dried Green Laver Flakes) *OR finely crumbled Nori

Steps

  1. 1

    Cut Chikuwa diagonally into bite-size pieces.

  2. 2

    Heat Oil in a frying pan, stir-fry Chikura over medium heat until slightly browned, and it won’t take long. Then, add Sugar and Soy sauce, and stir-fry until sauce is gone and slightly caramelised.

  3. 3

    Add some Aonori (Dried Green Laver Flakes) and Toasted Sesame Seeds.
