Steps
- 1
First, marinate the beef: finely chop the onion and garlic, add to the beef, then add teriyaki sauce, egg (to bind the beef, or you can add a little cornstarch) and a bit of honey (if available), and mix well.
- 2
Shape into flat, round patties the same size as the hamburger buns and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let the flavors meld. Meanwhile, wash the lettuce, remove the lower stems, and slice the tomato.
- 3
Once the beef is marinated, heat a little olive oil in a pan, and when hot, sear the beef patties until golden brown on both sides.
- 4
Cut the hamburger buns, and layer with lettuce, tomato, beef patty, a slice of cheddar, chili sauce, tomato, and lettuce. Note: place the cheddar on the hot beef patty, or microwave for about 30 seconds until the cheddar melts, then enjoy!
