Take a pan or kadai. Keep it in medium flame. Add chopped tomatoes, ginger, sugar, red chillies and vinegar. Saute for few mins. Do not add water.

Cover it with a lid and allow it to cook for 45 mins. After 45 mins you will see that all the tomatoes have become soft and cooked well. Turn off the stove. Allow the mixture to cool.

Transfer the cooked tomatoes to a mixer jar and add salt. Blend finely to get a very soft paste.

Strain the paste. You can store it in a bottle and refrigerate for more than 45 days.
Thick and tasty homemade tomato sauce is ready !!!!!
