Ingredients

  • For batter-
  • 1 cupbesan
  • to tasteSalt
  • 1/4 tsphaldi (turmeric powder)
  • 1/4 tspLal mirchi powder
  • 1/4 tspAjwain
  • Pinchbaking soda
  • For vada :
  • 4medium sized boiled potatoes
  • 1 tspcrushed Ginger chill
  • 1 tbspCoriander leaves chopped
  • 1/4 tsprai
  • to tasteSalt
  • 1/4 tsphaldi
  • 4-5curry leaves
  • 1 tspoil
  • as requiredOil to fry
  • 6-8 pcspav
  • as requiredDry garlic chutney to serve

Steps

  1. 1

    In a bowl mix all ingredients of batter.

    Make smooth batter.

  3. 3

    Heat oil in a pan. Put rai the add ginger chill.

  4. 4

    Add boiled and mashed potatoes.

  5. 5

    Add salt and haldi. Mix well and cook for 2 mins.

  6. 6

    Add coriander leaves.

  7. 7

    Now let it cool for 5 mins.

  8. 8

    Grease your hands and make lemon size balls.

  9. 9

    Now dip and coat in besan batter and fry it in medium hot oil.

  10. 10

    Fry till golden brown.

  11. 11

    According fry all vadas.

    Now take pav cut and put garlic chutney and vada.

    Serve with fried green chill and chutney.

    Serve hot.
