Ingredients

  • 1 cupsoyabean (soaked in hot water and squeeze the excess water)
  • 2medium sized potatoes boiled and cut in dice
  • 1medium sized onion sliced
  • 1medium sized tomato finely chopped
  • 1 tbspginger garlic paste
  • 1 tspgreen chilli paste
  • As needed oil
  • 1 tspCumin seeds
  • 1/2 tspblack pepper powder
  • 1 tspcoriander powder
  • 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  • 1 tspred chilli powder
  • 1/2garam masala powder
  • to tasteSalt
  • as neededWater

Steps

  1. 1

    In a pan heat the 1 tbsp oil add boiled potatoes and salt and fry it untill it's become golden brown. Remove it into a plate. In same pan again add 1 tbsp oil and fry the soaked soyabean and salt untill they also turns golden brown. Also remove the soyabean in other plate

  2. 2

    Now in the same pan heat the 2 tbsp oil add cumin seeds and dry red chilli. Few seconds later add sliced onion cook it till it's turn transparent.

  3. 3

    Now add ginger garlic paste and all dry spices and mix it well. Now add chopped tomatoes and 1/4 tsp salt mix it well. Cook it untill oil begins to separate.

  4. 4

    When the all spices are cooked well add fried soyabean and fried potatoes and 2 cup water in it (don't use extra salt because we already use salt in soyabean and potatoes during the frying). Cover it with lid and cook it on medium flame for 4-5 minutes.

    Your soyabean aloo gravy is ready serve it with chapati.

That's why I'm using ricebran oil instead of soyabean oil.
