Ingredients

  • 2 cupblack eyed beans
  • 1/2 cupyogurt
  • 1 pinchturmeric powder
  • 1 pinchasafoteida
  • pinchCumin seeds
  • pinchblack pepper powder
  • 1 tspred chilli powder
  • To tastesalt
  • 4 tspoil

    Soak the beans over night.

  2. 2

    Strain the water. In a pressure cooker add water. Pressure cook the beans till 2whistles on a low flame.

  3. 3

    Let it cool down and strain the water. In a wok add oil. Heat it up. Mix all the spices in yogurt and mix it well.

  4. 4

    Add asafoetida, cumin, pepper. Now add yogurt. Stir fry it till oil comes out. Now add beans.

  5. 5

    Add water as per requirement. In between mash some beans to manage the consistency.

  6. 6

    Serve hot with chapati.
