Afghani pulao is not your ordinary dish, not something which you would make everyday. It’s for special occasions because it’s rich and not too light on your stomach.And at other side it is an easier ' less hassle and less complicated recipe.

Ingredients

  • #Ingredients
  • 200 gbeef
  • 2 Cupbasmati rice
  • 1Onion chopped
  • 1/2 tspCumin seeds
  • 1/2 tspCardamom powder
  • 1/2 TspClove
  • 2Black Cardamom
  • 2Cinnamon stick small
  • 5Green Cardamom
  • 1 TspCumin Powder
  • 1 tspBlack Pepper powder
  • as neededSalt
  • 1 TBSPgarlic chopped
  • 1carrot
  • Halfcapcicum
  • Handfuldry fruit
  • 2 TbspSugar
  • 1/2 cupOil

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat 3 tbsp Oil and add carrot, 2 tbsp sugar, raisins, almond and fry for 3-4 minutes. Now take out in a bowl and set aside.

    Take 3 tbsp oil in a pan add onion, ginger garlic paste, whole spices, green chilli and fry it till got brown.

    Now add beef and fry it for 3 to 4 minutes

  4. 4

    Now add salt, cumin, coriander powder, cumin powder,and sugar  mix it well.add water and boil untill beef is soft and tender.

  5. 5

    Now take out beef meat and set aside

  6. 6

    Now add rice and cook it for 2-3 minutes. now add cooked beef and steam for 10-15 minutes.

  7. 7

    Now add fried carrots,capcicum,almonds, raisins and steam for more 2 minutes.
     8-Remove rice from the pan and transfer to serving bowl/dish and top the rice with the carrots and raisins. Serve.
