Steps
- 1
To make covering: Boil water in a pan. Add rava and mix well with a spoon for 2-3 minutes. Add salt, carom seeds, and black cumin seeds and wait until it cools. When at room temperature, add little water and knead the rava and make a soft and smooth dough. Keep it aside for 15 minutes.
- 2
To make stuffings: Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds. Add chopped potatoes, cauliflower, carrots, beans and cover it and cook on low flame for 4 minutes. Mix in between.
- 3
Then add peas and ginger, mix and cover and cook on medium flame for 3 minutes. Remove the lid, add turmeric powder and salt and saute the vegetables for 2 more minutes, mixing them well. Mash vegetables a little with a spoon. Add all the dry spices. Add chopped green chilli and coriander leaves and mix. Allow the vegetable to cool. The masala is ready.
- 4
Divide the rava dough into 10 balls of equal size and start filling the masala by making balls into bowl shape and pack it well into a round shape.
- 5
Heat oil in a pan. And deep fry the filled balls on medium heat till the crust becomes firm and golden in colour. Serve hot with green chutney.
