Steps
- 1
Add wheat flour, salt and oil to a bowl and mix it together (don't knead yet).
- 2
Try to make a fist out of the mixture; if the flour sticks together and stays, the consistency is good. If not, add more oil.
- 3
Slowly add water and knead. Dough should be soft, but not loose.
- 4
Make small balls and roll out parathas.
- 5
Heat up a tawa/pan on medium flame. Once hot, place the rolled paratha on it.
- 6
Cook till slightly brown (should see the paratha swelling; water in the dough is evaporating!) and then flip. Cook the other side and flip again.
- 7
Turn the heat to low and add some oil/ghee to the sides. Cook for a few seconds. Flip and cook the other side. Paratha is ready!
