Ingredients

  1. 1 poundPork (whole piece, no need to cut)
  2. 1medium carrot
  3. Sauce
  4. 1small tomato
  5. 1/2onion
  6. 3 clovesgarlic
  7. 1red chili pepper
  8. 1 teaspoonbrown sugar
  9. 1 tablespoonhoney
  10. 1 tablespoonbalsamic vinegar
  11. 1 tablespoonyellow mustard
  12. 15almonds
  13. 1 teaspoonpaprika
  14. 1 teaspoonfive-spice powder
  15. 1 teaspoonsalt
  16. 1 teaspoonblack pepper

Steps

  1. 1

    Place the sauce ingredients in a blender with 1/2 cup of cold water and blend until smooth.

  2. 2

    Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).

  3. 3

    Line the bottom of a cast iron pot with the carrot, then place the whole piece of pork on top.

  4. 4

    Pour the sauce into the pot and cover with a lid.

  5. 5

    Place in the oven and bake at 300°F (150°C) for 3 hours.

  6. 6

    Use a fork to shred the meat and enjoy it in a burger.
